Wedding season is almost here! 

If you’re going to be a lovely bride this year, it is never too soon to start thinking about your nail look for the big day!  The mani that’s being dubbed “The New French” (as pictured in California Wedding Day Magazine) is an on-trend update to the classic look, featuring a gradient tip instead of a traditional hard white smile-line.

We loved this look so much, we had to create our own version. 

To achieve OPI’s elegant wedding day gradient, start by choosing a sheer base shade. Any one of our three limited edition Oz: The Great and Powerful soft shades work wonderfully in this look, as it is important to match the lacquer hue (somewhat) to your skin tone. This will help elongate the look of your fingers and not steal attention away from the real showstopper: your ring!  We used “I Theodora You” in the mani featured above.

Next, dapple on “Alpine Snow” from the tip of the nail, creating a gradient effect. Once dry, place some glints of the limited edition Oz glitter “Lights of Emerald City” starting at the tip of the nail. Be sure to get in a few iridescent pieces as their iridescent shine will be your perfect “something blue!” 

Seal it all in with a high-shine top coat like OPI RapiDry and your nails will be ready for you to say “I do.”
